Andersen Press and Eva Eland celebrated the publication of her debut picture book at Tales on Moon Lane bookshop in London on Blue Monday (21st January).
When Sadness Comes to Call takes a poignant look at dealing with uncomfortable emotions. This beautiful and unique debut sensitively enables young people to recognise and discuss sadness, and also develop empathy for others who may be experiencing these feelings.
Miranda McKearney of Empathy Lab says:
‘Helping children understand their own and other people’s feelings is a vital building block for building a more empathetic society. This lovely book sensitively explores the emotion of sadness, and the importance of accepting it. For anyone living or working with children, it’s a great springboard for sharing how to handle feelings.’
