On Saturday morning, June 18th, the Children's Book Festival for younger children was held in St Michael's Parish Hall near Turnham Green in West London.
Children helped Kate Slater to decorate a beautiful collage tree with sparkly treasure, using the collage technique from her book Magpie’s Treasure. Among those who took part were Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine (pictured below and left with Kate) and his children, and author and illustrator Chris Wormell (pictured right with Kate).
