Ali Lewis, author of acclaimed debut novel Everybody Jam was in London last week visiting schools and meeting booksellers, librarians and the inimitable Julia Eccleshare, all of whom are big fans of her new book for teenagers.
Ali talked to eager pupils at Harris Girls’ Academy in Dulwich and Parliament Hill School near Kentish Town about her time spent in Australia (which served as inspiration for her Outback-based novel), life as a writer, the ups and downs of finding a publisher(!) and the skilfully crafted characters in the book. We look forward to Ali’s next trip to London in June when she’ll be sharing a panel with Costa winner Jason Wallace and Sharon Dogar, author of Annexed, the deeply moving account of life in the Annexed with Anne Frank, for a sensational teen fiction event.
