IMAGINE FESTIVAL!

21/02/2012 15:07:06

It was half term last week and the South Bank was swarming with young people eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite authors.

Andersen Press authors were there in force, monopolising the craft area and causing a stir. Mei Matsuoka had children making her famous sheep pom poms, Kate Slater exploded onto the scene with feathers, sparkly bits and coloured paper, for her collage-making Magpie’s Treasure event and Andrew Weale had audiences in stitches (not to mention feeling suitable puckish) with a fun-packed, noisy event with Nora, the Girl Who Ate and Ate.

Look out for Tony Ross and Jeanne Willis (and Dr Xargle) at the festival this Saturday at 11.30am for an awesome hour of alien antics!
