About the Independent Booksellers Week Collectibles
The IBW Collectibles range is a new element in Independent Booksellers Week, and seeks to work with publishers to provide unmissable titles through independent bookshops during IBW.  The inspiration for the Collectibles came originally from Record Store Day, where exclusiveproduct is produced by record companies for indie record stores. The Booksellers Association wanted to create a similar impetus into independentbookshops during IBW and are working with publishing partners to make this happen.  At a point where the health of the high street bookshop is crucial to the future of the book trade, the BA are always looking to develop ways of attracting consumers into bookshops and cementing the important role individual bookshops play in their own communities. Independent Booksellers Week, a national celebration of independent bookshops, will take place from 29th June-6th July 2013.
